Gene FitzMaurice graduated from Boston College Law School and served for two years as law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States District Court in Philadelphia. He spent the majority of his career with Atlantic Richfield Company, here and in London. While with ARCO, Gene negotiated complex transactions and personally tried cases in state and federal courts.
Gene has two distinct specialties here at Armstrong & Carosella. He has prepared several private placement memoranda as well as having put together a number of franchise offerings.
Gene’s other specialty involves school and disability law. He won the first case requiring a public school district to provide a private duty nurse for a diabetic child, and has tried and won several cases involving obtaining private education for special needs public school children. Gene has also been involved in complex matters of election law.
