Marc D. Collazzo, Esquire, has almost fifteen years of experiance. Marc, who has joined the firm to chair our family law department, focuses his practice on all areas of family law, to wit, divorce, mediation, custody, child and spousal support, adoptions, annulments, dependency and protection from abuse (domestic violence). In addition, he has extensive litigation experience in civil and commercial litigation, including, but not limited to, automobile, motorcycle and bicycle injuries, premises and products liability, wrongful death, construction defects, social security disability benefits, workmen’s compensation, general casualty, property damage and tortious interference with contracts.
Prior to joining the law firm of Armstrong & Carosella, Mr. Collazzo also worked with several local unions due to his involvement with their prepaid legal service plans. These unions include the Fraternal Order of Police, PACE local 7-286 (United International Paper Workers) and Pathmark, Local 1034.
Throughout his years of practice, Marc has been part of several high profile domestic and civil matters that have garnered regional and national attention from the Philadelphia Daily News and Inquirer, the Associated Press, Reuters News Service, all local news outlets, as well as personal appearance on the Michael Smerconish morning radio program on 1210am and Good Morning America. He has also authored several articles on family law, including “Protection from Abuse-Practice and Pitfalls” and lectured before the Montgomery County Bar Association regarding divorce and the military.
Currently, Mr. Collazzo serves on the Family Law, General Practice and Rules of Juvenile Court Committees for a Montgomery County Bar Association. Moreover, he is a part of the Doris J. Freed and the Honorable Nicholas A. Cipriani Inns of Court, which were established for the prominent family law attorneys in the region to educate and inform members of the Bar.
Mr. Collazzo devotes his time to various civic, religious and political organizations, which includes his election as Committeeman in the 58th Ward, 17th Division in Philadelphia County and his appointment as Trustee for his local Sons of Italy Chapter. He also performs pro bono work as part of the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Project (MCAP).
